It was a full year of Activities for a very young organization, but all things are possible with the Magic of the 'Bayanihan' Spirit. The phenomenal 'Group Hug' of the club creates a glaring stir of fun, friendship and mission for the Filipino-American community, their families, friends. It all started from great friendship that lead to a Mission Statement. It took several brain storming meeting on what's the purpose is, on how to do it, and means to do it. But from all of the criteria to make all things possible, everyone has one thing in common, to live up to the name of the Bayanihan Spirit. All ideas are Bright, Inspiring and Goal-centered (BIG), but without a strong commitment all ideas will be just ideas. As the popular saying goes 'Action speaks louder than words'. Everyone promised their (BIG) commitment and all eyes forward and never looked back. On March 23, 2019, Olongapo City Bayanihan Club of San Diego County was officially launched as a Club with the Spiritual guidance of the River of Life Church Reverend Louie Ignacio (currently the OCBC-Spiritual Fellowship Director). It was well-attended by more than 400 people from different States, and as far as the Philippines, that happily gathered to celebrate an indeed 'Grand Family Picnic Day'.
